When you look into my eyes
Do you look into my soul
Can you reflect what I reflect
Or capture what I behold
When you see my many treasures
You may just say they are fallen dead leaves
That I partake in foolish collection
And that they only cloud me
But I say to you even though they have fallen
Me catching them is not utterly absurd
I choose to softly care for them
And the serenity of my peace they do not disturb
I let them resonate through my being
So that they may have a peaceful resting place
They may throw away all their worries
As they float on all my grace
I am fine being this puddle
That catches those who fall
Since i know i cant restore them
Into my being they dissolve

Domonique,
Your poetry is absolutely beautiful.. When I read it, it hits me like a Muse - the style, connotations and flow that you use are incredible. In every poem I read I was able to formulate an illustration in my mind. Whether it was the message that you meant to convey, I felt I could relate to many of your poems. I can't wait to read more - keep doing your thang!
